Chapter 2 Note-Criteria

2) Prediction: Write down your prediction for what you think will happen next in the story. Don't forget to explain what happened in this chapter that helped you form this prediction.

I predict that later on George will do something with the boss because he was picking on Lennie when he first met him.


3) Question: Write down the names of the characters involved, as well as where and when the story is taking place at this point in the text. Next, write down questions you have about the story or characters,  and  any questions about the reading that you did not understand and would like clarification
Question 1)  Why does George hate people like the boss?

 Question 2) Why does George gets mad when Lennie looks and talks about the boss' wife?

 Question 3) Why doesn't the boss like big and tall people like Lennie?


4) Summarize: Re-tell in your own words, the main plot and important details of your  reading. Your summary should not be more than about a paragraph, or 5-7 sentences.

In the beggining of this chapter, George and Lennie arrive at their work. New characters are introduced and they get to meet their boss. At first the boss was mad at them because they arrived late to work and George had to lie to him for an excuse. Then they make new friends and they tell both of them that the boss is nice.
